What a rollercoaster of a year & where do I begin? We played tons of amazing gigs last year - BITS Pilani (Dubai), Big Boys toys (Abu Dhabi), Press Play 2 & even won the 'Turning up the spotlight' competition which was held at all Aloft Hotels worldwide in celebration of 50 years of music and the opening of their 50th hotel in London. We were super stoked when Simon Bechus from Radio 1 announced us as the winners. The big prize - an all expense paid trip to perform at the launch of the Aloft London Excel in London. Sadly our visas didnt come through but hey, the bright side was we definitely knew that our music spoke volumes that night. Catch the highlights here!!

2011 also saw the departure of drummer, Psycho and lead guitarist, Mr. P. It's sad to see the family part ways & we can only wish them the best in their future endeavors. Joe, who's played with Nikotin earlier on a bunch of occasions ( Unplugged at the Fridge & the GT1 races at Yas island ) has joined ranks & you'll definitely be seeing a lot more of him around.
 

It has taken longer than usual to finish this project & now we can finally.. yes FINALLY say that it’s nearing the end – the end of a very long journey that had numerous obstacles in its path. Our producer, what can I say, Elvis garagic has been uber patient with us & having him by our side on this project has been amazing. His guidance throughout this period has definitely taught a us a lot. This album also features a bunch of muso friends that you've seen play with Nikotin over the past year. The outcome is sounding absolutely wicked!

We’d just like to say that we are BLESSED to be able to do what we do. Thanks to all of YOU. We might be a small band trying to make it in a super challenging industry – but if you think signed artists in this region have it tough, just consider what it takes to be in an unsigned band or a band on a small label. We’re extremely honored to be involved with other bands on the scene. All of whom share similar stories of perseverance and juggling day jobs with trying to save up enough to go on tour or record and release their music. It takes a lot of time and effort so we hope you’ll join the Nikotin army and help support us by spreading the word – buying a band Tshirt (coming soon) or picking up a copy of the album (when it’s out) – in return we’ll do all we can to make sure you’re happy and proud of your order by putting love into the artwork, and the work whether it’s recording, printing or whatever. We want every release, every print to be a timeless collectable you can be proud of. So, if even the most you can do is post a comment on our band’s Facebook page or any of our Youtube videos – then do it – things like that can be so encouraging and fuel us to keep BRINGING IT in the face of whatever difficulty lies ahead. Thank YOU all for being a part of this. We’d also like to say that there are thankfully A LOT of good people out there doing shit the right way - helping bands like us and helping good music be heard. Magazines like Rockability, Rolling stone etc., music blogs, radio stations, labels, studios, promoters, venues, photographers and fans who get involved, give up their time, energy and help. We’re proud to know you and work with you on a daily basis. So, here’s to an incredible 2012 for us all.
