Nikotin hit the Dubai underground music scene full throttle in early 2009 setting stages alight with their addictive energy. The band took the phrase "Make some noise" to another level as they frequented press and TV regularily following their win at Mtv Arabia & Puma 'Battle of the bands' & the UAE-based 'Dred Rock festival awards'. In 2010, better things were awaiting them as Nikotin hit the big stage supporting acts such Nickelback & Maximo park. This was the same year that saw the band bag the Silver award for ‘Best Rock Act’' at the Asian Voize Independent Music Awards (AVIMA) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

At that point in time, selling records had never been the driving force behind Nikotin, as it was quite evident that the band lived for live performances. As Nikotin frequented bigger & bigger stages across the country, the fans grew hungry for more and it was then that the band planned to release an EP. The idea was soon scrapped after as they wanted to give the fans something better. It was the following year of 2011 that Nikotin decided to pace their live gigs & concentrate on their first full-length since posting their first track on Myspace in 2009. The band entered the studio with bosnian producer Elvis Garagic and has just completed writing and recording their debut album, Panodrama. Hitting 2012 with an immediate full, head of steam, the band has gone through a few member changes and have just recently solidified their lineup. The band is also looking forward to touring following the release of their debut.
